What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work:37 Hours Per Week - 09:00 - 17:00
The day-to-day duties of the care assistant are:
• Personal Care: Assisting with activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure the client's hygiene and comfort.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding if necessary.
• Medication Management: Helping to administer medications and keeping track of prescription schedules.
• Companionship: Providing emotional support, engaging in conversations, and participating in activities to keep the client mentally and socially active.
• Mobility Assistance: Helping the client move around the house or outdoors safely, including transferring from bed to chair.
• Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping duties like tidying up the living space and doing laundry.
• Monitoring Health: Observing the client's physical and mental health and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
• Errands: Running errands such as shopping for groceries or picking up prescriptions.
These responsibilities ensure the well-being and comfort of the client while promoting his independence and quality of life.
