We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our special needs Primary school in Chandler's Ford. This is a vibrant primary school linked to a secondary school which is based locally on a different site.
This school provides both specialist school places and Alternative Provision (AP) for students in Year 5 and 6 who have a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) developmental needs and/or medical needs.
Your Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant May Include:
* Working with small groups of children, through targeted interventions, to ensure all students reach their full potential.
* Engaging in extracurricular activities such as supporting with local visits around Portsmouth.
* Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can thrive and flourish.
* Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons and facilitating small group activities.
* Assisting teachers in assessing student progress and providing informative feedback to pupils.
* Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the children.
Job Details:
Location: Chandler's Ford
Salary: £82.08 to £104.16 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Long Term, Full Time, Temporary to permanent

* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
