Job Title: Locu m Physiotherapist Banding : 6 Location : Derby Start: ASAP Duration : Full time Rate : £ 24- £27 Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5hrs We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Physiotherapist to join our team in Derby. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential physiotherapy care to patients on Acute Medical and Elderly Wards. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy treatment programs, contributing to patient care plans, and supporting the overall healthcare team. Experience working in the NHS and as a Band 6 Physiotherapist on Acute Medical/Elderly Wards is essential. What will your responsibilities be : In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients on Elderly Medicine wards, presenting with a variety of multipathologies and dependencies, including fast track. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor patient progress. You will attend handovers, plan and prioritize your day, and complete frail elderly assessments. You will also be involved in problem-solving, carrying out interventions, and discharge planning in response to estimated dates of discharge. You will identify and issue equipment, work closely with Occupational Therapy, delegate tasks to assistants, and liaise with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), carers, and families. You will also be responsible for completing statistics and accessing ExtraMed. Qualifications and Experiences: Registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience working in the NHS Experience as a Band 6 Physiotherapist on Acute Medical/Elderly Wards Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of physiotherapy practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience in discharge planning and knowledge of pathways Caseload management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnover of patients Experience in liaising with MDT, carers, and families Familiarity with ExtraMed (beneficial) Why work with Pulse?
