Full Circle Technical are working on behalf of a leading design and build contractor to recruit an Electrically biased Regional Discipline Lead.
You will report directly to the Engineering Director and your role will be to provide technical leadership of the discipline in region, ensuring the correct competencies and capacity across the region and that standard design practices are applied. You will also provide all regional discipline members with the opportunity to develop and progress.
Projects within this region will include a new wastewater treatment project of circa £250m in value. This is a new, innovative and sustainably driven project that will suit someone with a background delivering clean or wastewater projects from a design perspective.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering Discipline Management
* Application of strategic electrical design philosophy in region.
* Application of task delivery methods and toolsets in discipline.
* The use and implementation of common, secure, information management systems in discipline.
2. People Management
* Training & Development Planning in discipline in region.
* Staff performance reviews/PDRs in discipline.
3. Operational Management
* Contributing to definition and implementing technical strategy whilst conducting tactical technical risk analysis region-wide.
* Client relationships and service management.
4. Personal Responsibilities
* Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking at conferences, industry associations, professional groups, and stay current on industry trends and innovations.
* Regular feedback of ideas, work methods, watch-outs and top-tips with colleagues across the business.
* Take ownership to deliver results, demonstrate resilience and drive.
About You
We're looking for someone who has…
* Demonstrable experience of technical electrical design, being BIM and digital delivery astute.
* Experience of technical design in a design-build environment, ideally within the Water industry.
* Experience in leading and managing electrical design teams.
* Degree qualified Electrical Design Engineer or similar field, ideally holding chartership membership.
* Must be quality-driven with the ability to set targets, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
