We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to complement our welcoming multi-disciplinary team within Dermatology Outpatients at both our new department at The James Cook University Hospital and One Life Centre where we run our Skin Cancer Service and Theatres. Please note if you do not have the qualifications or experience marked as essential for a Band 3 role, you will be appointed at a Band 2. Band 2 requirements - willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role. Band 3 requirements - Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9) Care certificate Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties and/or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3; - Theoretical knowledge - Experience of a range of care and related procedures - clinical observations - knowledge of relevant legislation There is a clear framework to allow for postholders to develop from a band 2 to band 3 and this includes completion of the qualifications. Main duties of the job The departments currently offer a range of services for both adult and paediatric patients. The successful candidate will rotate between both departments, delivering safe, effective, high quality care to our patients.
