Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days per week and 1:3 Saturday mornings
A great opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in their career, or an existing Clinical Director, to join our experienced team.
Role and Responsibilities

As part of this journey, you will be expected to lead, drive, and grow the new business to achieve success on all measures, including immersing yourself in the local community to build exceptional client relationships and maintaining a strong positive culture within your team.
You will be expected to demonstrate and develop exemplary leadership within your business and implement the direction and frameworks needed to achieve consistent delivery of the business plan through engaging your team.
In this key role, through driving clinical excellence, you will be instrumental in the development and execution of strategic initiatives within your practice, whilst enhancing the client experience, and strengthening team development, retention, and engagement.
To succeed in this role, you will be an inspirational leader, role model and motivator. Ideally, you will have had experience leading in a clinical or non-clinical role driven by KPIs, driving growth within a complex business.
A commercial acumen with evidence in driving commercial initiatives to improve business performance would be desirable, along with a positive attitude and approach to problem solving, with the skill set to inspire and motivate your team.
Your role will be exciting, stimulating and varied. You will have line manager responsibilities for other members of the Senior Leadership Team. Much of your time will still have a significant clinical focus, with a mixture of consultations, surgery, in-patient care and diagnostics, alongside mentoring and coaching colleagues to allow them to progress and excel in their role.
Additional duties include:
* Clinical duties
* Business strategy
* Liaison with Linnaeus Central Support team regarding practice performance
* Adhering to budget requirements and delivering budget targets
* Managing and supporting the Vet team and leading vets (when in post), Practice Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager in their roles to ensure the smooth running of the practice
* Encouraging development of all staff through PDRs, clinical discussions and regular meetings
* Contribution and development of ideas to the practice enabling us to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all species.

Located in the heart of Kidderminster within walking distance of the town, this purpose designed 4000 sq ft site comprises of separate cat and dog waiting areas and wards, isolation facilities, 6 consulting rooms, bereavement room, two theatres, dental suite, imaging room and associate rest room. The practice will be well equipped with the usual in-house diagnostic and surgical kit.
You will be warmly welcomed into our team and will be joining other key start-up associates to build and drive the practice performance while providing support to each other.
