What the Job Involves Carry out internal and external enhancement works within council housing stock to the agreed service standard and specification. Act as the first point of contact for residents, ensuring a customer-focused service in line with best value practices. Undertake enhancement works, including safe repairs, garden maintenance, painting, and pressure washing. Organize and assist in rubbish removal and graffiti clearance from estate areas. Utilize appropriate powered equipment for various maintenance tasks. Act as an onsite presence to promote the interests of residents and the council, reporting tenancy breaches and anti-social behavior. Monitor estate activities to prevent vandalism and ensure security, reporting issues in a timely manner. Maintain and secure tools, materials, and equipment necessary for estate service duties. Monitor the performance of other service providers within the neighborhood and report to relevant authorities. Identify minor repairs and ensure they are completed to standards within agreed timescales. Develop understanding of service contracts and ensure compliance with standards. Liaise with council officers, elected members, contractors, and other agencies regarding estate services. Carry out duties in compliance with the council’s Health, Safety, and Equality and Diversity policies.
