Westfield Surgery located in Bletchley, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse who can join our nursing team on a full-time basis. The post-holder will lead on a full range of duties including; Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs. Cytology. Wound care/ulcer care/doppler. Removal of sutures. Health checks. New patient medicals/urinalysis. ECGs. Venepuncture. Hypertension management. Routine immunizations. Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs. Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate. Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms. Vaccine/cold chain storage monitoring and recording. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: Essential: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Previous experience working within a nursing team. Must have knowledge of QOF and chronic disease management. Desirable: Qualified in asthma and COPD. About Us Westfield Road Surgery is a GP practice who has a reputation as a friendly surgery who currently look after 8600 patients. Our surgery is made up of four GPs, three practice nurses and two healthcare assistants. We also have an in house pharmacist. We are well known for having a supportive and friendly working atmosphere here at Westfield Road. We play a strong role in our primary care network and have been very active in the delivery of the covid vaccination programme.
