Delivery of the Sage Data Platform will be central to providing data solutions which enable our colleagues to focus more on our customers and growing revenue by providing innovative and deeper insights into our customers, as well as the ability to use these insights to personalise the customer journey across channels. This is a great opportunity to work as a Data Developer in a dynamic data delivery team responsible for driving delivery of data solutions in support of the functional roadmap. This role and his/her team will collaborate with the wider Data and Development teams in the design and build of sustainable, pragmatic solutions aligned to the technology strategy. Reporting to the Data Development Manager, the Developer will be required to contribute to building, enhancing and maintaining data integrations to enable Sage's business plans and long-term objectives using the identified architecture. The Developer's primary focus will be on gaining the required skills and knowledge to become an effective and productive member of the team and will design, develop and deliver high quality products and/or systems and services. This is a hybrid role - three days per week Key Responsibilities - Develop high quality data solutions in accordance with agreed development standards, including security, accessibility and version control. - The ability to document the solution using various technology tools and techniques, e.g Confluence / JIRA whilst understanding data governance. - Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs using the chosen technology whilst also adhering to the architecture strategy and principles. - Actively drive and engage in discussion with regards to requirements and development outcomes and challenges, in a non-technical way, to business stakeholders - Provide accurate estimates for the design, development and implementation of a solution ensuring you are always meeting agreed project deadlines. - Respond to any incidents or issues in a timely manner ensuring the business impact is recognised and the appropriate action is taken, i.e raise incident, engage support team or work on resolution. - Support the design and delivery of future proofed and robust integrations and data models which meet best practice and business requirements and are delivered to the highest quality coding standards around traditional and emerging data integration and modelling approaches. - Proactively peer review code and process and identify areas of improvement, making clear recommendations and championing their adoption. - Technologies we are working on Informatica, AWS, Snowflake, DBT Function IT Country United Kingdom Office Location Newcastle Work Place type Hybrid Advert Working at Sage means you're supporting millions of small and medium sized businesses globally with technology to work faster and smarter.
