Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – September Start – Secondary Mainstream School in Bournemouth An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Bournemouth, starting in September. This full-time role will involve supporting students across Years 7 to 11, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to thrive in their learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support to students in Years 7-11, assisting with their academic and personal development. Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to individual students or small groups. Foster an inclusive learning environment, helping students engage in their studies and reach their full potential. Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the appropriate help to access the curriculum. Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources, ensuring a productive and positive learning atmosphere. Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback where necessary. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children or young people in a school setting is desirable. A keen interest in supporting the educational development of students, especially those in secondary education. Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff. Patience, empathy, and a strong ability to work as part of a team. A proactive and adaptable approach to tasks, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
