Job summary
1. You'll provide a high standard of nursing, wound and rehabilitative care to our patients.
2. You'll actively participate in the minor injury, minor surgery and ageing-well clinics.
3. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out baseline observations, and record the findings accurately.
4. You'll also assist with reception cover when required.
Main duties of the job
Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accurately
Undertake wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required
Act as a chaperone as required
Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation
Provide support during minor operations as required

Generic Worker Minor Injuries Clinic
We are looking to take on an experienced healthcare assistant within our Minor Injuries Service based in Felixstowe.
The Minor Injuries Clinic is run by Suffolk GP Federation, a not-for-profit organisation. Our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk including support with working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes, as well as urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.

We will make sure you are fully inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. Its important to us that you feel safe and supported in your clinical decision making.
5. You would be suited to this role if you have phlebotomy and wound care experience
6. You will need to have proven experience working within a healthcare setting previously.
7. You will be able to record vital signs, interpret results and respond appropriately.
