Job Role:
Taylor Woodrow are recruiting for a Site Engineer to jointhe joint venture responsible for the construction and delivery of HS2’s OldOak Common station in North West London. The circa £1bn project will include the delivery of six undergroundplatforms as well as up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western MainLine.
Reporting tothe Senior Package Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsiblefor ensuring that all works, including those of suppliers and subcontractorsare coordinated to deliver on safety, quality and environmental objectivesacross their package
Duties:
1. Ensure all permits areapplied for and in place, ready for site work to begin.
2. Ensure the Inspectionand Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checkscan be completed.
3. Setting out andsurveying
4. Management of subcontractors.
5. Make effective use ofdocument control to manage distribution of information.
6. Develop and Approverelevant procedures specific to the area of works.
7. Approve methodstatements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughoutthe works.
8. Regularly liaisingwith the client
9. Ensure Design Drawingsare marked up to reflect works completed as the works are finished.
10. Liaise with otherSections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow ofwork.
11. Regularly reviewprocedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
Person Specification:
12. Degree or equivalent in civilengineering
13. Previous site engineeringexperience
Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures, or drainage isdesirable but not essential
