This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced senior operational leader to work with a visionary and ambitious executive team in an outstanding Community NHS Trust. You will have extensive experience of working in complex health and social care systems and can demonstrate a track record of delivering innovative, sustainable, and measurable impact. You will be passionate about working in collaborative partnerships to deliver the NHS Long Term Plan and operational priorities; transforming community health services to place greater emphasis on prevention and deliver genuinely integrated care to ensure patients receive care closer to home.
As the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO), you will be a senior operational point of contact with responsibility to deputise for and support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in oversight of operational management, performance, and service across the portfolio of operational teams. You will lead a range of Trust-wide and system-wide projects. Your work will involve the development and implementation of alternative out-of-hospital models of care, working closely with primary care, social care, and other Health and Care partnership partners. You will also lead recovery work on any key operational performance areas that are off trajectory, with a focus on improving productivity and clinical pathway reviews. The post holder will be required to deputise for the COO at Board, system, regional, and national meetings.
Additional Working Pattern: Monday - Friday
It is important to us that all our staff are aligned to our Values and in particular the behaviours we expect from KCHFT managers.
With this in mind, as part of the selection process for this position, you will be asked to complete two other activities in addition to the competency-based interview that you will be invited to. This extended selection process is designed to assess your management style, and the specific details of the exercises will be given if you are successfully shortlisted.
The provisional date of the selection event is 3rd April 2025, although this may be subject to change.
