Job Description To assist in the day-to-day organisation of the breakfast and the After School Club. Core Requirements of the post Have a relevant Level 3 in Play Work or similar or extensive experience of working with children A first aid, food hygiene and child protection certificate would be required. Previous experience within a childcare setting Have a fun and good-natured personality with a genuine enthusiasm to provide high quality childcare Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative Must be able to work to a high standard and work as part of a team. To be confident lively and enthusiastic To be caring and dedicated Be punctual and flexible with working hours Must be trustworthy and have good time keeping skills To include: Providing a safe, creative environment with appropriate play opportunities- Take part in activity planning sessions- Take part in an activity rota- Escorting children to the classrooms at the end of the breakfast session and collecting them for after school club. Provide good interaction with the children both during activities and during outdoor play Providing full care for all children, this will include providing full commitment to safeguarding children in line with KCSIE and core working together to safeguard children. Ensure conditions are hygienic for food preparation and eating General cleaning to ensure hygienic conditions Administering basic first aid as appropriate Encourage parental involvement and support Attend staff meetings as and when required Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework- Working within all agreed policies and procedures Access training when it becomes available and as required Any other duties that are deemed reasonable.
