Job Summary
Responsible for the assisting in the execution of the company’s taxation affairs. Performs calculation of tax liabilities, tax form preparation, and external filing/reporting duties and well as maintaining company tax records. Works with close supervision and develops in own area by performing routine work.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
• Assist with various Italian tax returns, including Withholding Tax, CONAI, Stamp Duty, VAT, and Intrastat Returns.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain mandatory documentation required to release payments and initiate the payment process using the Sky supplier system. Full training will be provided.
• Liaise directly with the Italian Tax team to ensure tax returns are completed efficiently and accurately, including the creation of payslips for tax payments and Withholding Tax Certificates.
• Serve as a point of contact for accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to address questions and ensure tax amounts are coded correctly.
• Assist with Balance Sheet Reconciliations for Sky’s Italian entities and create journal entries in SAP.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lead initiatives related to the end-to-end process.
• Provide support for tax return processes in other countries as needed.
Experience:
Essential:
• Fluency in both Italian and English, with strong communication skills in both languages (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Desirable:
• Previous experience in a Shared Service environment.
Additional Information:
Relevant, on-the-job Italian tax training will be provided to the successful candidate. While prior expertise in Italian tax is not required, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. The ability to develop a strong understanding of the tax processes over time, along with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, is crucial for success in this role.
