This is a rare career opportunity to join our multi-talented Quality and Compliance team, on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.
About the team: Our Quality and Compliance team (of 11) is responsible for ensuring all products launched by St Pierre Groupe are safe, legal, and meet the agreed quality standards. We’re a team of ‘foodies’ who work closely together with a supportive and collaborative approach.
About the role: This is a multi-faceted role with breadth, as Senior Quality Technologist you’ll work closely with suppliers and the wider St Pierre team to ensure that our stringent quality aspirations are met. You’ll need great communication and influencing skills. Reporting to our Quality Manager, your key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the quality of our St Pierre range designing quality attribute standards, identifying emerging quality issues, and working with suppliers on sustainable corrective actions.
* Relationship management with key suppliers, regular meetings, and site visits to ensure quality standards are achieved.
* Work closely with NPD team on development projects and attendance of first production runs to ensure successful launches.
* Investigation/resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances via root cause analysis.
* Generation and design of Quality KPIs and performance reports to internal/external stakeholders.
* Work with international key stakeholders to ensure St Pierre brand quality is maintained.
* Lead internal quality initiatives.
* Develop and improve St Pierre internal Quality systems and QMS.
* Management of the internal product quality system, ensuring all product testing is carried out according to schedule.
* Maintain St Pierre Groupe A&B BRC certification
* Some international travel will be required.
About you: The successful candidate will have a track record of relevant experience in a QC / QA / Technologist role and factory environment. Your profile will include:
* BSc Accredited Degree (Hons) or equivalent industrial experience.
* Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, via first class communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confident IT user – this role will require use of Quality Management systems (training will be provided), previous knowledge of Microsoft Office, TEAMs
* Bakery category experience an advantage.
* French and/or Spanish speaking is not essential but would be magnifique.
* Trouble shooter - excellent problem solving, analytical mind and decision-making skills.
* Independent self-starter, and equally strong team player
* Organised and efficient at prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
* Full Driving license required.
