1. They are a small animal practice that is a firmly established part of the village they are based in. Due to housing expansion and changes in local competitors, they have seen a huge increase in client registrations.
2. They have the usual range of equipment, Ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house bloods, etc.
Team: You will be stepping into a highly experienced, close-knit team that includes 3 certificate holders alongside their CD who has a Masters in Histopathology. Not forgetting their fabulous nursing and support team. As there is such a range of skills, experience, and interests within the team, and they try to encourage people to follow what they enjoy and are passionate about as much as possible. The team takes part in regular dog walks, often paired with picnics in finer weather. Additionally, they enjoy sharing homemade treats during lunch breaks. They are a tightly bonded team that collaborates effectively, providing support and guidance to one another.
Role: They are looking for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team
Candidate : They would consider a consulting-only Vet if this was desired but would equally like someone with all-round GP experience.
Duties for the role would include :
3. Examining and observing animals to diagnose health problems and assess their health
4. Performing laboratory tests on samples and specimens
5. Dressing and treating wounds, performing surgery and prescribing medication
6. Testing for diseases and administering vaccinations
7. Performing ultrasound and diagnostic imaging tests
8. Advising animal owners on preventive healthcare, general care and nutrition
9. Maintaining medical records of animals
10. Predominantly a consulting position, however an interest in dentistry would be desirable

11. They are looking to fill 40 hours, but this could be a mixture of part-time or full-time hours as they understand the pressures of family life and personal time.
12. There is no out-of-hours requirement as this is covered by a local practice.
Salary : Up to £68,000 p/a depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £5,000
