To ensure our vast workforce stay safe whilst delivering critical services across the region, we are looking for a Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Training Advisor (SHEQT) to join the team!
What will you be doing as our new SHEQT Advisor?
In this front-line role, you’ll be working with the IOS SHEQT Manager to support the smooth running of the department by providing proactive and flexible administrative support and documentation services as required.
Key responsibilities:
1. Identify process and procedural improvements and implement these to enhance the services provided to customers
2. Daily review to ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are managed according to set requirements
3. Ownership of tracking RIDDOR accidents – communication, updating database and Action Tracker
4. Review and provide administration support for safety actions on the Action tracking System
5. Promote and improve safety e.g. award applications, safety climate surveys
6. Ensure quality and consistency of submitted/received documents
7. Creating team reports, directories, trackers, control of referencing, numerical sequencing and revisions of SHE documentation
8. Quality compliance
9. Training Compliance
10. Compliance with policy procedures and home organisation BMS
What skills and behaviours do you need?
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our SHEQT team to grow with us with the aim of having SHEQT excellence now and for years to come. You must have demonstrable experience and the appropriate qualifications for working within SHEQT.
