Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role Location: Levenshulme Contract: Full-time, starting after Easter until the end of the academic year Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Levenshulme as a Teaching Assistant. The Role: As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students in their learning across different year groups, helping to build their confidence and understanding in Mathematics. You will work closely with teachers to assist in lesson delivery, provide targeted support to students who need additional guidance, and help create a positive learning environment. Key responsibilities include: Assisting teachers in delivering Maths lessons by providing individual and small-group support to students. Helping students develop problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. Supporting students who may require extra help to reach their academic potential, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. Encouraging students to engage with the subject and develop confidence in their abilities. Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, and administrative tasks as required. Covering lessons in other subjects when necessary, ensuring continuity in students’ learning. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: Holds a degree in Maths or a related subject. Has a strong passion for Mathematics and education. Can explain mathematical concepts in a clear and accessible way. Is patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with students. Has strong communication and organisational skills. Has experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering), though full training will be provided.
