Pensions Project and Installation Manager - Pensions Consolidation Solutions As part of this role, you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team, consisting of over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. This role will be as part of the Enplan Team - Enplan is one of the fastest growing DB Pension consolidators in the market. The team are currently managing over 60 pension schemes of different shapes and sizes and continue to regularly attract new schemes. What’s the role? We’re looking for a highly technical pensions specialist, with demonstrable experience of working on DB Pension schemes, to join our team. The role will mainly be internal however, the individual will be required to present to clients occasionally. As a challenger in the industry, we are looking for individuals with excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, extremely diligent, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset. Day to day, you will be: Managing the setup of new pension schemes on to our systems. This will include leading the actuarial and consulting aspects of the transition from the outgoing provider, responsibility for the setup of the benefit specifications (from Scheme rules where necessary), working closely with the administration installation manager to ensure a smooth start to the client’s journey with Isio. Support with, and project management of, portfolio wide initiatives, including pensions dashboards, GMP equalisation and the Regulator’s new funding code. The successful candidate will not be expected to be heavily involved in the calculations of the above projects, but working with Isio’s central specialist teams and the Enplan client teams, will share responsibility for ensuring their success. Enplan schemes vary significantly in size from as little as £1m to over £200m. The role will include updating clients and senior management on the progress of the projects, where they are up to against budget and any risks with hitting deadlines. Where is the role? This role can be based in Manchester or Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh) where the schemes within Enplan are serviced by a dedicated team. However, we are open to considering those in other locations joining the team including Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London and Reading. We work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their working time between working in the office and at home, as well as flexible working options. You may be a part or fully qualified actuary FIA/FIAA or equivalent or have worked in a similar capacity in previous roles in pensions administration. Highly diligent - the benefit specification setup will be reviewed and 'signed off’ by the successful candidate - After testing, this will be used in all future administration calculations. A great communicator - someone who can explain complex problems in a simple way to help everyone around the table understand. Enthusiasm and motivation - a great deal of desire to solving problems and delivering excellent advice. Excellent project management and client delivery skills - especially when balancing multiple demands. A great team worker - this will either be as part of a team, or managing a team, depending on your experience. Commercial skills - to help us develop our business and look for new opportunities to improve efficiencies.
