Summary of Role
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will develop effective, collaborative, and lasting relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of strategic and operational people business plans. These will include but are not limited to directors, senior managers, line managers, and trade unions.
Reporting to the HR Director Aviation, you will be responsible for understanding and interpreting business requirements, using insight to influence and tailor HR plans, policies, and projects that align with both our businesses strategic journey and that of your business sector.
This will be achieved by providing expert advice, coaching, and influencing to ensure delivery of a best-in-class customer service that supports the needs of the business, while maximizing operational effectiveness and delivering value for money. You will support the business in developing and maintaining a high-performance culture with high levels of employee engagement.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop, define, and manage the people strategy and plans for your sector, ensuring adoption of best practices and alignment with the sector business plan and objectives.
* Review current and future operational business requirements in conjunction with the sector’s senior leadership team and the HR Director Aviation.
* Work with key stakeholders to understand critical resource requirements, ensuring solutions meet both current and future operational needs.
* Lead the Industrial Relations (IR) activity for the sector, managing relationships with senior leadership, union representatives, and employees.
* Lead on organizational and sector growth and business change projects, acting as a catalyst for driving continuous improvement.
* Ensure due diligence and analysis are conducted for all TUPE and business acquisition requirements, providing intelligence and documentation to support decision-making.
* Work with senior stakeholders, mobilization teams, and ER Managers to provide expert advice and guidance on mobilisation plans.
* Lead the sector requirement for HR/People analytics and data, ensuring insights drive strategic decision-making.
* Develop and implement sector-specific employee relations plans and engagement strategies.
* Provide coaching and influence managers at all levels on people and business matters.
* Provide employment law and policy advice to HR colleagues and key stakeholders.
* Identify and develop sector-specific training and development requirements in conjunction with the Director of People Development.
* Develop and communicate a clear, engaging recruitment strategy that aligns with the sector's people strategy.
* Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulations, and legislation.
* Support HR Transformation for self-service through platform improvements or new HR/Payroll systems.
* Promote equality and diversity within the business, ensuring sector-specific needs align with Red Sky Personnel’s overall EDI strategy.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
* Ensure work is carried out in accordance with department procedures and training provided.
* Comply with Red Sky Personnel’s Health and Safety Policy, procedures, and protocols at all times.
* Ensure that all safe systems of work are followed and briefed accordingly.
* Report any health and safety concerns to your line manager.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Experience of TUPE and consultations.
* Experience in managing Industrial Relations.
* Strong ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficient IT skills, including HR analytics and data interpretation.
* Ability to deliver clear and concise verbal and written communication.
* Proven reliability in punctuality and attendance.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Understanding of equality and diversity principles.
Qualifications & LicensesEssential:
* CIPD qualified.
* Full UK Driving License.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a Senior HR role.
