Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager wanted for a FMCG company based in Corby. The HSE Manager or SHE Manager will spearhead the drive for excellence in health and safety practices and the environment. The role demands a proactive individual who can foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness, ensuring the well-being of the site team and the integrity of operations.
The role's essence is to develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies, conduct audits, report on KPIs, and lead regular reviews. As the site's HSE authority, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing policies that not only comply with legal standards but also set benchmarks for industry best practices. As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will work on improvement projects aligned with the long-term strategy of the company and will be instrumental in creating a safe and sustainable work environment.
Key responsibilities for the HSE Manager will include:
1. Advising on HSE developments.
2. Coordinating accident investigations in line with RIDDOR regulations.
3. Managing accident claims, and ensuring all risk assessments are up to date.
4. Auditing contractor compliance.
5. Maintaining emergency plans, and assessing.
6. Fulfilling the site's health and safety training requirements.
Candidates will be expected to possess a Level 6 qualification in safety management (NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ, or equivalent), coupled with a minimum of five years in safety management positions. An environmental qualification (IEMA) or equivalent experience, particularly within the food industry or a fast-paced manufacturing setting, is highly desirable.
