We are currently seeking a driven and visionary Commercial Director to lead our sales team through the next phase of growth. You will be part of the Management Executive Team (MET) reporting Directly to the Managing Director. Role Overview: As the Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's commercial strategy forward. This is a hybrid role with opportunities for international travel, offering the chance to make a significant impact on our global footprint. We are seeking a leader, not a manager, who can inspire and develop their own sales team to achieve exceptional results. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and oversight of Commercial Team members. Developing Bray’s commercial strategy and being held to account for its successful execution across all markets and product categories. Decision making regarding which international markets Bray should target, with which product lines, and through which channels. Ownership of Bray’s global go to market strategy. Develop, plan and implement commercial plans and accelerated growth strategies. Defining and delivering an effective marketing and customer support function relevant to all product categories and markets, often in collaboration with distributor partners. Undertake to gain an in-depth understanding of Bray’s product portfolios and their associated markets. Develop and implement training and sales support for employees and customers. Develop and implement updates to branding, products and packaging. Oversee ongoing development of marketing and social media platforms. Manage existing customer relationships, building and developing them and identifying opportunities for growth. Development of strong relationships with the UK NHS and private sectors and national wholesalers. Review and development of pricing strategies to maximise sales opportunities and gross margin. Identify and assess opportunities for market and product expansion globally. Undertake to gain a good understand of the global regulatory requirements for entry to new markets and support new registrations alongside our Quality Compliance Department (QCD) Monitor market trends and competitor analysis and work with the QCD leads on ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are achieved. Working with the MD to develop a range of relevant key performance metrics to drive commercial goal achievement and establish better data analysis competences to help drive decision-making processes. Monitor and measure performance providing clear and precise reporting at monthly METmeetings. Work collaboratively with senior manager colleagues, Board members, team members and external partners, with a particular focus on developing, growing and upskilling the Commercial Team over time. Undertake any duties appropriate to the role which supports the business as and when required. Requirements: Proven leadership experience with a track record of success in a commercial role. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence. Ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve ambitious targets. Knowledge of the healthcare system is advantageous but not essential; the right leadership style and attitude are paramount. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
