Job Description
We’re looking for a dependable and flexible Relief Handyperson to help us keep our services running smoothly and safely. This is a practical and varied role that involves everything from minor repairs and general upkeep to supporting with furniture moves and maintaining a tidy, welcoming outdoor space.
Working closely with the Unit Manager and wider team, you’ll be responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repairs, keeping accurate records of tasks, and ensuring that the building remains safe and in good condition. You may also be asked to escort visiting tradespeople, assist with clearing paths in poor weather, and lend a hand in the garden when needed.
We’re looking for someone with a proactive and hands-on approach, who takes pride in their work and is willing to get stuck in. Previous experience in a maintenance, construction, or trade-related role would be helpful, but we’re just as interested in your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. Basic IT skills are important, as you’ll need to complete online training and record tasks. A driving licence is desirable, though not essential.
