Role Duties:
* Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
* Align production plans with business forecasts, budgets, and market demands.
* Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity.
* Lead, mentor, and manage manufacturing teams, including supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Analyse financial reports and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and certifications.
* Oversee quality control processes and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits.
* Ensure adherence to industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Stay updated on manufacturing technologies and methodologies to maintain competitiveness.
* Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage raw materials and inventory levels.
* Ensure timely delivery of finished products to meet customer demands.
* Communicate manufacturing performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
* Act as a liaison between production teams and other departments such as sales, R&D, and logistics.
* Address and resolve production issues, equipment failures, or other operational disruptions promptly.
* Develop contingency plans to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
* Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement necessary adjustments.
* Promote environmentally sustainable practices within manufacturing processes.
* Lead efforts to reduce energy consumption, emissions, and waste.
Experience:
* Experience working within a commercial vehicle industry would be preferred.
* Previous management experience is essential.
* Welding and fabrication knowledge is essential.
