We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader to join our Day Surgery Theatres at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline. There are 6 elective theatres, 2 Ophthalmology theatres, Procedure room and a recovery suite.
You will have theatre experience at senior band 5 level or above and be able to demonstrate on-going professional development.
The post holder will provide professional and clinical support to the SCN and will have delegated responsibility from the Clinical Lead for planning and implementing patient centred care, and for ensuring the standards of care are implemented within the operating department.
You must hold First Level Registration with either NMC or HCPC.
You should be educated to degree level or working towards or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
You must have:
1. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
2. Excellent time management and communication skills
3. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
4. Possess team working and building skills and have the ability to motivate others
5. Evidence of being able to work using own initiative
