As the successful candidate, you'll manage and inspire a dedicated team of Work and Health Coaches, providing vital supervision and day-to-day leadership. Your role will be crucial in driving optimal outcomes for our participants and making an impact in your community!

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assess barriers to employment, provide specialist advice, and develop tailored Thrive in Work and Return to Work plans. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, offering guidance to help participants achieve their employment goals, and signposting them to relevant services. The role involves supervision and mentoring to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring quality service delivery in line with WorkWell audit standards.
Additionally, the Senior Health and Work Coach will oversee a small team of Work and Health Coaches, ensuring effective leadership and support for optimal participant outcomes. The WorkWell service aims to assist those facing employment barriers, support individuals on long-term sick leave, and help those struggling in the workplace due to health conditions.
Job responsibilities
1. Provide direct line management and supervision to the Work and Health Coaches and support with more complex cases.
2. Manage a caseload of participants who have experienced common mental, physical, and social health problems or long-term conditions.
3. Provide strong leadership and act as a primary point of contact for their team of Work and Health Coaches.
4. Carry out vocational assessments and develop Strive to Work and Thrive to Work plans with WorkWell participants.
5. Ensure that participants are eligible to attend the service.
6. Provide light-touch holistic support for health-related barriers to employment.
7. Provide a pathway into local services to tackle specific needs and ensure referral pathways into and onwards from Work Well services to ensure maximum opportunities for people to engage with appropriate services.
8. Create and maintain stakeholder partnerships in the geographical area both internally and externally.
9. Maintain accurate case notes, action plans and WorkWell participant paperwork and upload these to the management information system within the specified timeframe.
10. Provide information, advice, guidance and support to individuals about the pathways of opportunities available to them to gain, return to and sustain work.
11. Support individuals to gain accurate benefits advice, complete paid job applications, compile CVs and to prepare for interviews.
12. Communicate effectively with others of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and levels of understanding, identifying barriers to communication and accessing appropriate support and making reasonable adjustments.
13. Liaise with and arrange meetings with health professionals, partner agencies and/or employers concerning individual needs to increase opportunities for positive outcomes for WorkWell participants.
14. Ensure the team maintain accurate and compliant electronic client records that clearly reflect the participant journey.
15. Deliver training and workshops for participants on job applications, CV writing and interview skills to improve their chances of moving into employment.
16. Take part in informal training with colleagues from external organisations to help raise awareness and improve knowledge of potential barriers to employment.
17. Monitor progress and outcomes of participants supported by WorkWell, ensuring that monitoring deadlines are adhered to, and KPI evidence is collected accurately.
18. Work flexible hours as required to meet the needs of the service.
19. Carry out any other duties that are reasonably requested of you.

* Experience using the Work Star or Outcome Star.
* Experience of providing employment advice and support.
