The post holder will be responsible for the leadership, planning and delivery of services across a portfolioof community based services within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As amember of the senior management team, the post holder will contribute to the shaping of the strategicdirection for the services, and ensure its implementation within defined timescales.The post holder will be highly visible spending considerable time in the clinical service areas, having apresence at handovers, multi-disciplinary meetings and at other relevant times depending on the serviceneeds. The post holder will also have a specific focus upon Quality, Safety and Efficiency as well asdemand and capacityThe role is pivotal in assisting the Head of Services, Clinical Director, Associate Director, Director ofNursing, Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality, Transformation Programme Lead and other professionalheads with the delivery of appropriate professional standards and clinical service across the Trust andBSol services in line with the expectations of the Long Term Plan.The role carries specific responsibility across the service for the provision of safe and evidence-basedpractice and is accountable for the delivery of agreed outcomes for clinical teams and service users.The post holder will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery ofmodern, flexible services which provide optimum care for service users.Key to success will be a sound knowledge and experience of operational service issues within a mentalhealth environment, the ability to operate in a complex and changing service; effective partnership workingacross a diverse community; well-developed communication skills and the ability to lead redesign withoutcompromising service delivery.
