We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Site Construction Manager to join our Beauly-Peterhead ASTI team in the delivery of this career defining project.
You will provide leadership to our Construction team, to ensure that site activities are carried out safely, in accordance with programme and to the specified quality standards.
You will act as a figurehead of the Construction team, as they support the planning of site activities during the development phase and represent the business during the construction phase of projects ensuring that suppliers carry out works on programme and in accordance with contractual requirements.
You will
- Monitor and report on the overall construction performance of the portfolio.
- Have responsibility for the recruitment, onboarding and development of team members, such as Construction Site Managers, Construction Site Supervisors and Trainee Site Construction Managers to meet project portfolio requirements.
- Provide leadership to the Construction team ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and monitor contractor performance and carry overall responsibility for defining the key responsibilities of Construction team members.
- Share construction expertise and assist project managers to identify resource requirements, select construction techniques and capture project risks.
- Work collaboratively with other Lead Construction Managers to improve standards across the organisation. In particular by creating and maintaining work instructions for all activities undertaken by the Construction team.
Proven experience overseeing large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. Ideally with experience of the utilities industry.
- An understanding of NEC forms of contracts including previous experience fulfilling the role of NEC supervisor.
- Hold or have recently held certificates for site access including CSCS / EUSR or similar and site management qualifications including NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS (5-day) or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and CDM 2015 Regulations.
