Climate Adaptation Strategy Manager (Sustainability) Location: Heathrow AirportPermanent Damicor is seeking a Climate Adaptation Strategy Manager to drive the airport’s climate adaptation strategy, ensuring we are prepared for future climate risks. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead strategic initiatives to deliver our climate adaptation goals. Your work will directly contribute to Heathrow’s efforts in reducing climate-related risks and ensuring resilience across our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of the climate adaptation strategy, identify key investments, and support business case development for climate resilience activities, including input for Heathrow’s 5-year regulatory settlement planning. Work closely with teams across Masterplanning, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to deliver and support key activities that drive the adaptation strategy. Own and maintain the Heathrow climate adaptation risk assessment, lead the Adaptation Reporting Power (ARP) process, and engage with DEFRA. Integrate climate physical risk into corporate risk assessments, manage input into reporting, and contribute to annual climate financial disclosures. Represent Heathrow in discussions with government, local authorities, and industry stakeholders to advocate for effective climate adaptation solutions. Provide key climate adaptation input for corporate reporting and contribute to governance meetings as necessary. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A strong background in climate risk and adaptation, with expertise in climate scenarios, modelling, and risk assessments. Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with defined milestones and business outcomes. Ability to manage stakeholders, lead virtual teams, and build coalitions to achieve results. Proven commercial acumen in developing business cases and securing investment. Strong communication and presentation skills to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences Desirable: Experience in climate risk adaptation within major infrastructure projects or complex sites. A genuine interest in sustainability and Heathrow's leadership role in achieving net-zero goals. Strong external stakeholder management experience.
