Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Liverpool £50,000 - £60,000 My client provides design and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services throughout the northwest. If you are looking to make a real impact while working with a dynamic and supportive team, this opportunity is the perfect match for you Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support in weekly meetings with both in-house teams and clients. • Collaborate closely with clients and sub-suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery, alongside the Project Manager. • Participate in design reviews and oversee technical documentation. • Support on site processes ensuring project designs are accurately implemented. • Specify and procure project materials in line with engineering standards. • Project Planning. • Design of Mechanical Services, HVAC and public health Installations. • Compilation of Specifications for Mechanical Services and Installations. • Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings, including drawing production unit CAD and Revit. • Estimating. • Cost control. • Technical Submission input. • Compiling project reports. • Conceptual design studies and reports. • Liaising with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the mechanical requirements and the mechanical discipline’s influence on all others. • Thermal and energy modelling (when up to speed). • Sustainable design. • Management. • Lead design. • Thermal and energy modelling (preferred) Additional Responsibilities: • Participate in project handover meetings with the sales team as necessary. • Provide input for sales quotes when required. • Address and resolve build queries for workshop and site projects. • Share best practices across projects to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications and Experience: • Degree in Building Services or a relevant field. • Building Services qualifications at HNC/HND level or equivalent. • Experience working within the building services industry. • Strong understanding of building services regulations and guidance. • CAD and Revit. • Professional Registration (preferred) Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-4pm 45 mins Lunch Break.
