The Role
Dupplin Farms comprises 1300ha to the west of Perth. The farming is split across three different farming partnerships for the Dewar family, covering part of the Dupplin Castle Estate. A further 120ha will be added in autumn 2025.
There is an opening in the team for a full-time operator to take responsibility for the drilling operations across the farms.
The role and responsibilities include:
* Drilling across all the farms using a Case IH Magnum 400 pulling either a Horsch Pronto or a Horsch Sprinter. In addition to cereal drilling, the drill operator will be responsible for the drilling of environmental mixes, grass margins, reseeding of pastureland, and game cover plots.
* Responsible for maintenance of the drills and other farm machinery.
* Relief sprayer operation using a Valtra 310 with a 36m Horsch Leeb trailed sprayer. Working in conjunction with the lead sprayer operator during peak spray times to keep the sprayer running.
* General farm work, along with some estate maintenance, will also be required.
Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* PA1 & 2, rough terrain forklift certificates required.
* Good record keeping is essential.
* Ability to work as part of a small full-time team, with seasonal staff in peak periods, and lone working.
