In this role, you will join a small but experienced team of game development veterans. As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality 2D graphics, including assets, icons, menus, and other interface components. Your work will ensure consistency with the game's art style and technical requirements. Collaboration with game designers and other artists will be essential to align UI/UX design with the overall vision of the game and enhance player experience.
This in-studio role requires a commitment to typically work 5 days per week in the studio, although flexible working solutions can also be discussed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed wireframes and documentation that clearly communicate design intentions and workflows to the development team.
* Pre-visualize, mock-up, prototype, animate, and implement UI designs.
* Address UI/UX issues that arise during development and post-launch, iterating on designs to improve user experience and fix bugs.
* Work alongside the Lead Artist to develop polished, high-quality effects and craft dramatic moments in a predominantly 2D title.
Skills and Experience:
* Professional experience shipping a Mobile/PC/Console game with 2D elements.
* A broad range of skills in UX Design and UI Art.
* Strong working knowledge of the Unity engine.
* Ability to work in-engine on complex UI elements to bring them to life via animation, VFX, and transitions.
* Capability to iterate high-fidelity 2D art to match existing art styles and contribute to new ones.
* Portfolio of 2D/UI art that highlights rich, varied, high-detailed work with VFX-driven transitions.
* A strong understanding of UX and a penchant for bold UI Design.
* Comfortable working with autonomy within a highly experienced team.
* Any experience developing card games would be a bonus.
* Must hold the right to work in the UK and be able to work in-studio in Guildford 5 days per week.
Benefits:
* Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £70,000 per annum.
* Opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment.
* Potential for flexible working solutions.
