About the role To provide business support services to the Skills & Employment Unit including implementing processes for Skills Decisions, organising team events/meetings/Awaydays and co-ordinating corporate tasks including the monthly Mayor’s Question Time (MQT), allocation of correspondence from members of the public (Write Ons) and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, including drafting responses to the more straightforward issues. What your day will look like (bullet points) Working with colleagues across the Skills & Employment Unit, the successful applicant will be: Providing high quality business support to the Units PMO; including minute taking and action chasing Organising team events such as Away Day Processing Skills Decisions: key actions to deliver the Unit’s projects. Managing responses to key corporate activities of MQTs, WriteOns and FOIs Undertaking other administrative responsibilities including risk management activities Skills, knowledge and experience To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria: Evidence of providing high-level business support to a senior manager. Evidence of providing high-level support for a large team including implementing processes to support staff. Experience of using IT systems including MS Outlook, word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Strong communication skills and experience of working to demanding deadlines and working with a range of stakeholders. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
