The Role:
Eversheds Sutherland’s award-winning PR and Communications team is seeking a Senior PR Manager with a strong track record of delivering innovative PR and communications campaigns.
You will be involved in projects to secure high-quality media coverage for key stakeholders and enjoy the challenge of turning complex commercial, legal and regulatory issues into compelling stories.
This role is an opportunity for a talented Senior PR Manager with a keen interest in legal, business and current affairs to develop their skills among a highly experienced team, supported by formal training and development programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage a portfolio of work, creating and implementing strategic PR plans and producing creative content for media engagement.
* Identify and secure opportunities for legal and business experts to pitch news, commentary, data and articles to media, contributing to monthly media coverage targets.
* Utilize digital and social media trends to support earned media activity.
* Assist senior team members with press inquiries and media crises scenarios.
* Evaluate PR metrics and prepare all interviewees for press meetings and interviews.
* Support the Head of Media Relations to ensure all offices are connected with relevant information for local media.
Skills and experience:
* A minimum of seven years’ experience in media relations, with a proven track record of securing media coverage.
* Exceptional communication skills, able to negotiate story placement and present results to media and lawyers.
* A good range of journalist contacts across online, print and broadcast media.
* Ability to provide media training and develop new voices for the firm’s external profile.
* Skilled at planning and implementing media campaigns that result in commentary and coverage.
* Strong PR experience in legal, professional services or corporate PR is preferred; agency experience is also desirable.
* Team-oriented with a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
* Able to manage conflicting priorities and timescales.
* Committed to promoting best practices across the team and developing junior PR talent.
