Job Title: Commercial Director - North

Role Overview:
The Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in managing and growing our presence in the North. This position will oversee new business development, foster relationships with existing clients, and manage the P&L for the Northern region. We are seeking someone with broad commercial experience in the marketing agency sector, a proven track record of driving revenue, and the leadership skills to build and inspire a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development:
Drive new business efforts by identifying opportunities and developing strategies to win new clients.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects across the Northern region.
2. Client Management:
Strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and aligning our services to support their goals.
3. P&L Management:
Take ownership of the Northern region’s P&L, ensuring revenue targets are met and costs are managed effectively.
Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to the senior leadership team.
Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Provide coaching, support, and strategic guidance to team members.
4. Market Expertise:
Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, particularly in the marketing agency landscape in the North.
Represent us at industry events and build a strong professional network.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within the marketing or agency sector.
2. Broad knowledge of the marketing agency landscape in the North of England.
3. Demonstrable track record of driving new business and managing client relationships.
4. Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibilities.
5. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
6. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
