We have a fantastic opportunity to join our industry renowned and forward thinking procurement department as a Junior Buyer. This is a vital, long term development role for the right person who's looking to forge a career across relevant industries within the scope of procurement.

Main Purpose of the Role
You will be working as a Junior Buyer - as part of the procurement and buying team, you will support and partner with the wider business to help deliver ongoing value while managing a critical supplier base. During busy periods, you may be required to assist the team with additional admin duties. This role will include working cohesively and communicating with multiple departments across the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Research, find and set up new, suitable suppliers and effectively negotiate on competitive pricing to minimise spend, also ensuring product quality and fit for purpose.
2. Raising POs including for repeat/call of orders, setting up new call off orders based on evaluated requirements.
3. Checking and maintaining stock report, placing orders based on demand.
4. Working closely with the accounts team to resolve invoice queries, including VAT invoices for credit card purchases.
5. Communicating weekly with each depot for required consumables including gas, welding supplies and fuel.
6. Handling purchase orders from point of order through to booking in, including communicating with the goods in team.
7. Booking collection and delivery requirements with the transport team.
8. Organising returns/replacement of damaged, faulty, unfit for purpose product or service in a timely manner.
9. Responsible for daily completion of skip packs for Production Team.
10. Ad hoc duties as required.
Basic Skills Required
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

* Microsoft Office/365 product suite knowledge and comfortable using CRM systems.
* Attention to detail, speed and accuracy is imperative.

There are several potential job role progression routes stemming from this role. Typically, a Procurement Administrator could develop into, but not limited to:
* Stock line or commodity SKU Procurement Manager – within the Procurement Department.
* Production Planning.
* Materials Buyer.
