An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials and Construction to join a welcoming and inclusive academy in the North East. This small school is known for its strong sense of community and commitment to providing high-quality education for students aged 4-16.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach engaging and dynamic lessons in Design Technology, with a focus on Resistant Materials and Construction, across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Inspire and motivate students to explore and develop practical skills in construction, design, and technology
* Develop and deliver creative lesson plans that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles
* Foster a hands-on learning environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching Resistant Materials and Construction at secondary level
* Have strong knowledge of the design process, materials, and construction techniques
* Be passionate about teaching and developing students' technical and practical skills
* Possess excellent classroom management and organizational skills
* Be committed to contributing to the school’s inclusive, community-focused ethos
