Our client seeks an experienced and knowledgeable Business Analyst to join their team for a 12-month project.
You will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Using Agile methodology, you will gather, analyse, document, and validate the needs of the business stakeholders managing system requirements between the business and the software developers throughout the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
* Analysing existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and proposing process improvements or reengineering initiatives.
* Collecting and analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and strategies.
* Working with development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and design solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
* Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, facilitating communication, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
* Creating clear and concise documentation, such as business requirements documents, use cases, and user stories, to guide development and testing activities.
* Collaborating with testing teams to ensure that developed solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
* Assisting in the implementation of new processes or systems, including training and support for end-users, and managing the transition to the new solution.
* Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented solutions, identifying areas for further improvement, and recommending enhancements or modifications.
Key Skills & Experience
* Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of working in both banking and investment environments.
* Knowledge and experience of analytical tools.
* Experience in using a wide range of analysis techniques including workshop facilitation, requirements elicitation and process mapping.
* Proven track record of helping deliver successful software, IT and business projects/solutions.
* Knowledge and understanding of systems testing and UAT (regression testing, smoke testing, automated test tools).
* Attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to integrate well into a team and build effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and business users.
* Creative and innovative to maximise the value of the solution.
* Understand Agile methodology and the concept of sprints and sprint planning.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Confident decision maker with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
