We are looking for housekeepers to join our existing team. You would play a key role in making sure all areas of the hospital, including wards and all other areas, are kept to the highest standards of hygiene and appearance.

We currently have a range of exciting opportunities working in different areas across the hospital with a selection of part-time shift patterns available. These include mornings, afternoon, evening and night shifts as outlined below:
POSITIONS
* 13:00 - 20:30
* 17:00 - 21:00
Main duties of the job
* Using a variety of modern and advanced cleaning equipment to make sure our wards and other patient areas are cleaned to the highest possible standards.
* Full range of cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping and hydrogen peroxide vapour. All equipment used has been tested and chosen by existing housekeeping teams.
* Some roles may require the use of specialist personal protective equipment.
* Preparation and serving of patient meals and refreshments as part of a team.
* Following ward or department cleaning schedules.
* Diluting cleaning chemicals and following set procedures being mindful of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
* Workload is flexible and locations can change per shift including between wards and non-ward areas.
Working as part of a team under minimal supervision once fully trained.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Basic general secondary education in English and Maths.
* Knowledge of cleaning and COSHH.
* Knowledge of food handling and food hygiene procedures.
* NVQ Level 2 Support Services or equivalent.
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Previous Experience
* Must be able to demonstrate previous experience of housekeeping in a domestic environment.
* Knowledge of/training in Moving/Handling techniques.
* Customer Service training.
* Be able to demonstrate use of initiative in problem solving.
* Be able to demonstrate ability to prioritise tasks.
* Demonstrate understanding of/training in COSHH.
* Be able to demonstrate ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Be able to demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills.
* Be able to demonstrate a positive approach to team working and/or lone working.
* Be able to demonstrate literacy, numeracy and comprehension of written instructions sufficient to follow instructions on cleaning chemical containers.
* Awareness & Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda.
* Ability to evidence/ demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework.
Specific Requirements
* Be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to changes in workload/duties/priorities.
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to react quickly sensitively to meet a wide range of differing needs.
