Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance service provider specialising within the Chemical, Petrochem and Nuclear sectors.
Your new role
1. Provide coaching, mentoring, and line management to safety advisors within the team.
2. Work closely with the existing leader to provide strategic guidance to the HSE team.
3. Ensure the project aligns with regional health and safety goals.
4. Support and guide project managers on all HSE matters.
5. Ensure all work activities comply with company and site safety procedures, maintaining the highest standards of health & safety.
6. Promote a Safety First culture, delivering toolbox talks and safety-related training as required.
7. Track and report HSE metrics in line with regional requirements.
8. Identify areas for improvement and develop initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
9. Plan and conduct HSE audits, ensuring timely closeout of any actions.
10. Promote safe card submission within the team, monitor all cards submitted, and follow up actions with relevant managers.
11. Ensure excellent communication with project management, wider region, and client HSE representatives.
12. Provide HSE support to the region as required, including travel to other sites within the region.
What you'll need to succeed
1. NEBOSH & IOSH qualifications.
2. Minimum of 5 years in a Senior HSE role.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Experience in the construction industry.
5. Experience in nuclear, oil & gas, or other heavily regulated industries.
6. Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.
