We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Teaching Assistant to join our team, working closely with a Year 4 child who has experienced trauma and attachment challenges. This role requires someone with extensive experience in managing challenging behaviour and a naturally calm and nurturing nature.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to a Year 4 child with trauma and attachment issues.
* Assist in implementing personalized strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
* Foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure consistent support for the child.
* Encourage social and emotional development through patient and empathetic interaction.
* Monitor and report on the child’s progress, adapting strategies as needed.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children who have experienced trauma and attachment issues.
* Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and understanding.
* A naturally calm and composed demeanor.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of children.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
* Experience in a similar role within a school setting.
