What you'll do: The Quality Controller role is to work as part of a team of multi-skilled Inspectors in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace product, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components and Composites. Your main responsibilities: - Mechanical / Electrical inspection of Aerospace product - In Process Inspection - First Article Inspection - Work on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems in line with company procedures - Undertake investigation of quality issues to resolution, in conjunction with all necessary internal or external bodies relating to product/process/system. These may be initiated by internal or external customers - Maintenance of Quality Records and Metrics - Support shop floor with Technical issues if required - Auditing of Approved Operators - Support training of others in products and processes for your area - Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management. - You will be required to undertake all responsibilities above in line with your Grade. Qualifications: Qualifications required: - City & Guilds - GCSE's or equivalent in Maths and Science - Apprentice trained in a relevant discipline advantageous Skills: Experience Required: - Use of Measuring Equipment - Able to interpret Engineering Drawings - Previous experience required although training can be provided - Experience of Goods In Inspection and processes advantageous - Aerospace knowledge advantageous - Experience of FAIRs to AS 9102 - IT Skills - Root Cause Tools - 5 why's / 8D
