Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £89 - £99 Per day Job Description: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff at a school in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. Your primary duty will be to ensure that pre-prepared work is completed by students in a constructive and orderly manner. Key responsibilities include: Job Duties: Supervising and managing classroom behaviour in the absence of the regular teacher Delivering pre-set work provided by the absent teacher Providing support to students in their learning activities Managing the classroom environment effectively Reporting back on the behaviour and progress of students Required Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths Experience working in an educational setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Education: A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths Experience: Prior experience working in an educational environment is highly desirable Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of classroom management techniques Ability to engage and motivate students Good organisational skills Preferred Qualifications: Higher education qualifications in Education or related field Teaching Assistant experience Working Conditions: Working hours are typically during school hours May involve dealing with challenging behaviour from students Regular interaction with teaching staff and students All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
