Main duties of the job
Main Duties include:
* Assisting the planning and delivery of the Trainee Pharmacist foundation year programme within the Trust.
* Developing newly qualified pharmacists and supporting them in undertaking a post graduate qualification such as the clinical diploma.
* Effectively contributing to the training of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
* Acting as a professional role model and mentor in clinical pharmacy practice to trainees and newly qualified pharmacists/technicians.

Person Specification
Knowledge Requirements
* Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge gained through a Pharmacy degree equivalent to a Masters level knowledge.
* Evidence of ongoing CPD + learning.
* Mandatory training requirements of all relevant professional bodies.
* Experience of teaching pharmaceutical knowledge to other pharmacy staff.
Qualifications
* A Pharmacy degree i.e. equivalent to Master levels knowledge.
* Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Diploma or MSc in clinical pharmacy gained through post-graduate study or equivalent experience including the CPPE Primary care pharmacy education pathway.
Further Training
* Practice Research.
Experience
* Hospital pharmacy experience.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational skills.
* Previous experience in training and development.
* Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams.
Other
* Ability to adapt and respond to changing needs at short notice.
* Able to work extended hours, weekends, bank holidays and On Call.
* Flexibility.
