My client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Gateshead. This position presents an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and General Ledger functions, with training provided if necessary.
Position Details:
1. Hours:
37.5 hours per week (flexible 4-day workweek option available)
2. Salary:
Starting from £27,000
3. Holidays:
25 days plus bank holidays
Key Responsibilities:
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
5. Chase outstanding debts and follow up with clients
6. Issue credit notes for refunds promptly
7. Process refunds through bank and SAGE systems
8. Reconcile supplier statements with SAGE
9. Address and resolve supplier queries
10. Prepare and execute supplier payment runs
11. Conduct bank reconciliations
12. Complete VAT returns
Additional Information:
13. Experience with SAGE 50 is preferred but not mandatory.
