We have an exciting opportunity for a vibrant and enthusiastic sales professional to join us as our Head of Sales. You will report directly into the Managing Director and work as part of the Senior management team to accelerate our next stage of sales growth by leading our Field Sales and Account Management teams.
The successful candidate will have P&L responsibility for this business unit and will lead all non-ecommerce sales activity. We anticipate and expect this role to generate significant growth in a short period of time.
You will be a hands-on Sales professional who gets a thrill from developing business personally, whilst experienced in managing, growing and mentoring rapidly growing sales teams.
Purpose
Accelerate revenue growth by driving sales from both new and existing customers through a strengthened and strategically focused Sales team.
To maximize the lifetime value of existing clients by strengthening and developing the Account Management function to drive retention and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and execute the Sales strategy for all ‘offline’ activity, including New Business Development and Account Management.
* Lead and refine new business sales processes, ensuring an efficient and scalable approach to lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement sales-led marketing strategies that generate high-quality leads and increase customer acquisition.
* Develop and embed structured sales playbooks, frameworks, and best practices to optimise sales performance.
* Audit and improve Sales and Account Management systems and processes to enhance efficiency, conversion rates, and overall team performance.
* Identify and generate strategic sales opportunities to drive business expansion.
* Utilise data and reporting tools to track key sales metrics, analyse trends, and provide insight into sales performance, conversion funnels, and revenue forecasting.
* Mentor, manage and develop the Sales team to build future leaders and enhance overall performance through structured coaching and training.
* Gather market intelligence to identify opportunities and contribute to the company’s overall growth strategy.
* Ensure an exceptional level of customer service to strengthen client relationships and build long-term brand advocacy.
* Actively engage in field sales activity, visiting and supporting sales teams during in-person client meetings to drive revenue growth.
Experience
· A minimum of 5 years in a sales leadership role.
· Hands-on team management and mentoring.
· Personal track record in Field Sales and growing key accounts.
· A track record of creating a strong company culture within teams.
· Experience winning tenders desirable but not essential.
· B2B Experience is preferential within the Workwear, PPE and corporate clothing industry.
Skills and competencies
· An exceptional Salesperson: A personal track record of delivering sales through Field Sales activity and sales.
· Strong man management and leadership qualities: A history of motivating, mentoring and developing winning teams.
· An excellent communicator, both externally and internally: Can work across multiple business units and with a variety of stakeholders. A reputation as a team player is essential.
· Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of profitability: A broad understanding of business challenges and opportunities including margin, profitability and cash flow.
· An understanding of technology and systems: Experience improving usage and integration of CRM and sales systems is desirable.
