Perform the installation and commissioning of plant modifications and improvement projects both on-line and during turnarounds and events so that plant on-line availability is maintained, defects resolved, and routines are completed on-time.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards including compliance with PPE requirements, permits and isolation procedures, the use of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and pre job hazard checks for all tasks.
The assembly, installation, removal and replacement, disassembly, test functionality and operability, maintenance and repair of instrumentation systems and their associated system components. Such systems can be of an electronic, electro-mechanical or pneumatic technology which may be used to indicate, record, and control a wide variety of equipment, plant and machinery across the Billingham, Portrack and North Tees sites.
Pre commissioning, trip testing and fault finding on instrumentation systems and the associated system components.
Raising, releasing, and completing Work Orders and updating databases as required.
Inspection and record keeping or updating as part of a preventive maintenance programme.
To assist in the upkeep of plant drawings and documentation by reporting errors to supervision.
To participate in training in order to enhance skills to enable you to meet the company’s competency requirements.
Reviewing and helping in the upkeep of Technical Data and manuals.
Instrumentation technicians need a good understanding of engineering theory, the functions of components within systems and the effect on system operation of failure.
Detailed understanding of instrument control systems, including but not confined to pressure, temperature, level, flow, analysis equipment, machine instrumentation system i.e., Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
