About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art & Design Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Sheffield. This is a full-time role, starting ASAP. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons, helping students develop their creativity and artistic skills across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a vital role in encouraging self-expression, technical ability, and a passion for the arts .
The school is dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and challenging all students to help them reach their full potential. They are committed to continuous improvement and strive to provide the best possible learning experience for every student. Ofsted has stated the school has secured improvements in pupils' behaviour.
Position Details:
Location: Leeds Contract: Full time Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Art & Design
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

* Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
* Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons
* Teach a range of artistic techniques and styles
* Prepare students for GCSE Art & Design coursework and exams
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
* Organise and display student artwork within the school
* Develop engaging and differentiated lesson plans
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Art & Design curriculum
* Provide one-to-one support where needed
* Contribute to extracurricular activities such as art clubs and exhibitions
* Ensure lessons are accessible and engaging for all students
* Support students in creating portfolios for further education
* Maintain classroom materials and order supplies when needed
