Warehouse and Logistics Manager Annual Salary: Up to £55,000 Location: Central Belt Job Type: Full-time Reed Recruitment is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Warehouse and Logistics Manager. This senior role is crucial for a leading company in the manufacturing sector, renowned for its dynamic and efficient operations. The successful candidate will take full ownership of warehouse operations, leading a team of 15-20 people and managing a high volume of daily dispatches. Day-to-day of the role: Oversee the dispatch processes to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries. Manage approximately 50-60 truck turnarounds per day, ensuring efficient and timely operations. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with transport providers to enhance service levels and efficiency. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve exceptional performance and meet operational targets. Implement best practices in inventory control, ensuring stock accuracy and reducing waste. Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and health & safety regulations. Manage the transport provider to keep accurate, up-to-date inventory of Finished Goods, Work in Progress, and Pallets, enabling a continuous uninterrupted supply of product at the agreed service level to the customers. Ensure safe working practices and statutory safety standards are adhered to. Implement and conform to hygiene and product safety procedures across the business. Manage warehouse personnel, performance, and development. Ensure storage arrangements are compliant with company insurance risk assessments and management framework control standards. Collaborate with other regions and external suppliers to execute any offload arrangements and processes. Monitor and control compliance with control of materials on and offsite procedures. Verify transport and warehousing expenditure and invoices. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all transactions. Ensure the transport provider is fully compliant and trained with using ERP systems and processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven track record in logistics and warehouse management within the manufacturing sector. Strong knowledge of dispatch, inventory management, and third-party logistics. Proactive and hands-on leadership style, capable of driving performance and operational efficiency. Commercial mindset with a focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Deep understanding of warehouse compliance and health & safety standards.
